Assistant Coach - Emily Ramsey

ramseyEmily Ramsey comes to Midland College after completing her educational and athletic careers. Ramsey, a native of Kingwood, Texas, attended Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas, following the completion of her high school education. Ramsey was a member of the Angelina College Roadrunner softball team from 2011-2013.

After earning an Associate of General Studies degree from Angelina College, Ramsey joined the LeTourneau University Yellowjackets softball program where she majored in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. Emily played two seasons for LeTourneau softball team and served one season as a volunteer coach.

Coach Ramsey earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Exercise Science as well as a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from LeTourneau University.

Emily’s work history includes physical therapy tech, assistant manager of LeTourneau University’s Solheim Recreation Center and as an athletic performance trainer in Lufkin prior to joining the Midland College softball program as an assistant coach.

It was during her time at LeTourneau that Coach Ramsey began to consider a career in coaching the game of softball.

Coach Ramsey’s leadership abilities, organization skills, willingness to work hard and learn as well as her strength training expertise made her a good fit for the Lady Chaps softball program and head coach Amanda Evans.
