MIDLAND, TEXAS - Midland College pitcher Luke Young was recognized by the Western Junior College Athletic Conference as its Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 20-26.
The Oklahoma State signee from San Angelo was stellar in a 4-2 victory over Dodge City Community College as he allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks and he also struck out 11 over seven innings of work.
The Chaparrals (13-6) next open WJCAC play with a home doubleheader against New Mexico Junior College on March 11.
