BASEBALL: MC’s Rodriguez, Wulfert make All-WJCAC 1st team
Pitcher Luis Rodriguez and infielder Tyler Wulfert represented Midland College on the first team of the Western Junior College Athletic Conference All-Conference Baseball Team that was just released.

AUSTIN, TEXAS - Pitcher Luis Rodriguez and infielder Tyler Wulfert represented Midland College on the first team of the Western Junior College Athletic Conference All-Conference Baseball Team that was just released.
Both players are headed to Division I programs next year as Rodriguez has signed with the University of Incarnate Word, while Wulfert has inked with Oklahoma State.
The Chaps had 10 honorable mention selections with pitchers Luke Young, Jarek Wells and Aaron Molina, catcher Ryan Blackwell, infielders Garrett Williams, Frayner Chavez, Rhett Clark and Gibrian Pena, and outfielders Chris Garcia and Luke Bumpus. Clark is a Midland Christian grad.
Conference champion New Mexico Junior College swept the superlatives as it had the WJCAC's Most Valuable Player with Stanley Tucker, the Most Valuable Pitcher in Jesus Tovar, and the Coach of the Year in Mike Robbins.
