#25 MC Baseball Improves to 3-0 On The Offensive Production of Andrachick, Eagar and Gil

The #25 Midland College baseball team started the season with a three-game series at Wharton County Junior College in Wharton, TX. MC used robust offensive performances to subdue the Pioneers by scores of 15-4, 13-7 and 22-11 to improve to 3-0 on the season.
The Chaps received strong performances by Caleb Eagar, Stevyn Andrachick, Logan Flores, Augden Hallmark and Jorge Gil. Gil, a sophomore from Cypress, TX, recorded a "cycle" in game three of the series. Fort Worth native, Eagar went 6-11 with four RBI, seven BB and one HR over three games. Flores picked up the win in game one and Hallmark recorded the win in the second game. Sophomore Andrachick (Kalispell, MT) went 7-12 at the plate including seven RBI, two BB and two sacrifice flies in the series.
The Chaparrals will host their home opening series this weekend when they host Trinidad State College of CO. The Trojans and Chaps are scheduled for a double-header on Friday, February 6th beginning at noon. The two teams will finish up with a single game on Saturday, February 7th with the first pitch scheduled for 12:00 p.m. (CST) at Christensen Stadium (4300 N. Lamesa Road at North Loop 250 East).
Trinidad State is currently 1-7 this season, going 1-3 versus Chandler Gilbert Community College (AZ) in Chandler, AZ and 0-4 versus El Paso Community College in El Paso.
