#25 MC Chaps Baseball to Host Trinidad State College (CO) Trojans for 2026 Home Opening Series

The Midland College Chaps baseball team will return to the diamond for a three-game series beginning on Friday, February 6th at 12:00 p.m. when they host Trinidad State College (CO) for a double-header at Christensen Stadium. The Chaps and Trojans will wrap up the weekend of play on Saturday, February 7th in noontime single game also at Christensen Stadium. Midland College opened the season with a three-game series versus Wharton County Junior College in Wharton, TX. The Chaps swept the series 3-0.
The TSC Trojans opened their season by heading south to the cozy climate of Arizona. The Trojans played a four-game series versus Chandler Gilbert Community College (AZ) Coyotes going 1-3. Trinidad State then made their way to El Paso for a four-game series with fellow Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) member, El Paso Community College. The EPCC Tejanos took four from the Trojans to drop TSC to 1-7 heading into the series versus Midland College.
The Chaparrals are ranked 25th in the first NJCAA poll of the season. The Chaps are also picked to win the WJCAC this season.
Friday's weather is expected to be 71 with sunny skies. Saturday's weather forecast shows a sunny day and 75 degrees at game time.
