Chaparrals Baseball Moves Up in National Polls, Ranked #3 Headed into Tuesday's Game Versus Grayson College
The Midland College baseball team catapulted up the national polls to 3rd in the NJCAA.

The Midland College Chaps baseball team resumes regular season play when they take the field on Tuesday at noon versus Grayson College. The game will be played at Abilene Christian University's Crutcher Scott Field, a neutral site for each team.
The Chaparrals are currently ranked #3 nationally after opening the season as the 25th ranked team in NJCAA Division I baseball. MC is currently 12-0 this season while the Grayson Vikings are 4-4 in 2026.
Midland College's prolific scoring ability will be on full display Tuesday with the Chaparrals averaging nearly 16 runs per game this season. MC's offensive power comes from a talented trio of hitters, led by Stevyn Andrachick's .610 batting average (#2 in the NJCAA's national statistics). Freshmen Caiden Olivas and Caleb Eager are batting .542 and .522 respectively for the Chaps. Midland College has scored 188 runs (#5 in the NJCAA) over 12 games, with 27 total homeruns (12th) and 167 RBI (7th).
Following Tuesday's game against Grayson College, the Chaps will host the Temple College Leopards for a single, nine-inning game on Friday, February 27th at 3:00 p.m. MC will also be in action on Saturday, February 28th in a noon double-dip versus a talented Weatherford College Coyotes team.
