The Midland College baseball team will play their next WJCAC series this weekend when they take on the Howard College Hawks (13-12, 5-3) in a "split series". The Chaparrals enter the weekend with a 23-2 record, including 8-0 in conference.
On Friday, March 20th the Chaps will host Howard College in a conference double-header beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Christensen Stadium. Saturday the teams will play in Big Spring at Refinery Ballpark on the Howard College Campus. Midland College is seeking to extend their current, nine-game win streak which includes an unbeaten record in conference.
Midland College is displaying a high-level of offensive output this season, hitting .387 as a team; 5th in the NJCAA. The Chaps are led by second baseman Stevyn Andrachick who is hitting .514 in 2026. MC's Cole Neatherlin has also added punch at the plate with a .528 average over 14 games. Midland College's Logan Flores anchors the pitching rotation with a 6-0 record this season.
