BASKETBALL: MC men roll past Sunrise

MIDLAND, TEXAS - The Midland College men defeated Sunrise Christian Academy, 69-47, Friday night in action from Chap Center.

Steve Richardson led all scorers with 15 points. Three other Chaps contributed double figures with Christian Villegas scoring 14, Franklin Agu 10 and Devin Avent 10. The Chaps, 4-0 this season, shot 46.7 percent from the field, including 42.1 percent from the 3-point line. Sunrise was held to 40.4 percent shooting, including 25 percent from the 3-point line.

Only two players from Sunrise hit for double figures – Zytarious Mortle with 13 points and Jerome Brewer with 11.
