BASKETBALL: 4-1 Chaparral Men To Face Stiff Competition at OC Classic
The MC men’s basketball team will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season as they enter the Odessa College Classic to be held at the OC Sports Center on the campus of Odessa College.

ODESSA, TEXAS - The MC men's basketball team will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season as they enter the Odessa College Classic to be held at the OC Sports Center on the campus of Odessa College. The Chaparrals 4-1 on the season are scheduled to take on Salt Lake Community College, Trinity Valley CC and Ranger College on consecutive days.
Midland College will square off versus SLCC on Wednesday in a 4:00 p.m. tilt. Then the Chaparrals will play Trinity Valley on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and are scheduled to finish up on Friday in a 4:00 p.m. match up against Ranger College. Ranger College is responsible for the Chaps' only loss of the season, 71-59, last weekend at the MC Tip-Off Classic.
The Chaparrals' exhibit a balanced scoring approach with four players averaging double figures. Franklin Agu leads the Chaps with 15.8 ppg, followed by Devin Avent's 11.4, Christian Villegas' 10.6 and Steven Richardson's 10.4 points per contest. Agu also leads the Chaps with 10.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
