BASKETBALL: Chaps improve to 2-0 in WJCAC
The Midland College men’s basketball team improved to 2-0 in Western Junior College Athletic Conference play on Saturday with a 70-52 victory at Frank Phillips College.

BORGER, TEXAS - The Midland College men's basketball team improved to 2-0 in Western Junior College Athletic Conference play on Saturday with a 70-52 victory at Frank Phillips College.
The Chaparrals (9-3 overall) trailed 36-31 at the half before outscoring the Plainsmen (9-5, 0-2) 39-16 in the second half.
Three Chaps were in double figures, led by Trent Johnson with a game-high 17 points, Christian Villegas had 15 and Matteo Tersillo added 12. MC was also able to hit 11 3-pointers in the game.
MC is off until Dec. 27 when it plays in a tournament in Mesa, Arizona.
