ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO - The Midland College men's basketball lost the seventh in its last eight games when it fell 70-66 to New Mexico Military Institute at Godfrey Athletic Center on Monday.
The Chaparrals (10-10, 3-4 in Western Junior College Athletic Conference) trailed 43-36 at the half.
Latik Murphy scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Broncos (12-8, 4-3).
Steven Richardson led MC with 19 point, Christian Villehas had 15, Oliver Hayward had 11 and Trent Johnson added nine points and 10 rebounds.
The Chaps are off until Monday, Jan. 24 when they host South Plains College at Chaparral Center.
