BASKETBALL: Chaps stay unbeaten after 3-0 weekend

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - The Midland College men's basketball team went 3-0 during the New Mexico JC Classic in Hobbs, N.M.

The Chaparrals concluded the weekend with a 104-63 over Dallas College North Lake on Saturday.

Doug Young had a game-high 28 points to lead MC, Keonte Jones had 25, Christian Villegas added 14, and Brison Walller chipped in with 12.

On Friday, MC rolled pas Yavapai College, 74-47, as Keonte Jones had 19 points, Young had 16, and Trent Johnson added 13.

The Chaps next host University of the Southwest JV at 7 p.m. Monday.
