ODESSA, TEXAS - Doug Young made three free throws with 0.4 seconds left to lift No. 25-ranked Midland College to an 84-83 win over Blinn College during the Wrangler Shootout, Saturday at OC Sports Center.
Following a free-throw miss by a Blinn College player with five seconds left, MC secured the rebound and Young was fouled on his 3-point attempt.
Young finished with a game-high 27 points, teammate Keonte Jones followed with 24, Brison Walker had 12 and Trent Johnson had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The unbeaten Chaps (10-0) face Utah State Eastern at noon Sunday to close out the Wrangler Shootout.
