ODESSA, TEXAS - The No. 25-ranked Midland College men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season, 68-64, to Utah State Eastern during the Wrangler Shootout at the OC Sports Center on Sunday.
MC (10-1) led 29-27 at the half before Eastern had a strong second half.
Keonte Jones led the Chaparrals with 22 points and Doug Young had 20.
MC will next travel to face Wayland Baptist University JV at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
