BASKETBALL: No. 23 Chaps win thriller over No. 14 Weatherford College

WEATHERFORD, TEXAS - Keonte Jones scored with 2 seconds left to lift No. 23 Midland College to a 76-74 victory over No. 14 Weatherford College on Thursday night.

The game between the two ranked teams was tied at 74-all when Jones scored on a floater in the lane to help the Chaparrals improve to 13-1 on the season in their first year under head coach Tra Arnold.

Weatherford dropped to 10-2 on the season.

The game was played at Ranger College to help ease the travel for both teams.

No other information was available from the game.

This was the last game for the Chaps until the Western Junior College Athletic Conference opener at Howard College on Jan. 7.
