The #11 Midland College Chaps basketball team will look to turn their recent woes around when they take on Clarendon College on Thursday night at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center. The Chaps and Bulldogs are set for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off with both teams capable of scoring at a very high clip.
The Chaparrals dropped to 19-3 this season and 5-3 in conference after taking a loss at the hands of #2 Howard College on Monday night (91-83). Clarendon College lost to South Plains College by a score of 81-57 to drop to 9-13 overall, including a 2-6 record in the WJCAC.
MC coach Isaac Fontenot-Amedee has kept a level-head despite the Chaparrals recent struggles. That approach may be just the thing the team needs to begin a course correction headed into a gauntlet of road games in the second half of WJCAC play. The Chaps will have road games versus #13 South Plains, #10 Odessa and #2 Howard in the back half of conference.
