GOLF: Midland College Takes the NJCAA Men's DI Preview

ODESSA, TEXAS - The Midland College Chaps surged to a first round lead in the National Preview event and successfully fended off strong competition from several nationally recognized teams to win the team title by five strokes. Midland College, ranked #2 nationally, led host team Odessa College by five strokes to win their sixth tournament title in seven fall events.
Midland College received strong individual performances from the sophomore trio of Bladen Samaniego, Adam Coull and Samual McKenzie. Samaniego finished in a tie for third place with scores of 72-71-69—212 (-4) followed by Coull's 214 (-2) which placed him in a tie for 7th and McKenzie who finished in 11th place with a even par score of 216.
The was the final tournament of the fall semester for the Chaparrals and Coach Walt Williams.
