GOLF: No. 1 Chaps finish 2nd at WJCAC Tip-off tourney

SWEETWATER, TEXAS - The No. 1-ranked Midland College men's golf team finished in second at the WJCAC Tip-off Tournament at Sweetwater Country Club on Monday.

MC shot 261-267—528 and finished 18 shot back of Odessa College. New Mexico Junior College (536) was third and host Western Texas College (546) was fourth.

MC sophomore Adam Coull finished in a tie for second in the individual standings with Odessa's Max Cooper as each shot a 128 total. OC's Sangha Park finished first with a 123 total. MC teammate Angel Guerra (133) finished tied for eighth and fellow Chaparral JT Pittman (134) was 10th.

The Chaps next play in the Southwest JUCO Championship at Willow Park on April 11.
