NEWTON, KANSAS - Led by sophomore Alfie Robinson, the Midland College men's golf team is tied for fifth place after the first round of the NJCAA National Tournament on Tuesday in Newton, Kansas.
The Chaparrals shot a 286 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course and is just eight shots back of first-place Indian Hills Community College (278). Eastern Florida State (281) is in second place, Western Texas College (282) is in third and McLennan Community College (283) is in fourth. New Mexico Junior College is tied with MC after also shooting a 286, while Odessa College is in seventh after shooting a 288 ...
