The Midland College golf team eeked out a narrow, but technical victory versus rival Odessa College in the 2024 TankLogix / Midland College Collegiate Invitational Tournament. The 54-hole TankLogix event was played at the Ranchland Hills Golf Course in Midland.
The #1 ranked Chaparrals recorded team scores of 285-274-279--838 (-2) which tied Odessa College's 284-274-280--383 (-2) for the tournament title. The team championship trophy was awarded to Midland College based on a one-stroke advantage in Wednesday's final round (279 to 280).
OC's Adam Bresnu and NMJC's Elias Pettersson tied in the individual champion race with three round scores of 204 (-6). Midland College's Oscar Holm-Bredkjaer finished in a tie for third place with scores of 68-70-67--204 (-5). MC teammate Thomas Vestergaard shot a two under par score 208 which was good for fifth place in the event. Holm-Bredkjaer and Vestergaard each earned all-tournament recognition.

Midland College will take a couple weeks away from competition before entering the University of Texas - RGV Vaquero Invitational in Kerrville, TX (March 25-26).
