The Midland College Lady Chaps softball team will look to improve their offensive capabilities when they travel to Ranger, TX for a Tuesday double-header versus the Ranger College Rangers. The Lady Chaps opened the 2025 season in Kenedy, TX on Friday and Saturday in a round-robin hosted by Coastal Bend College.
Midland College sits at 1-3 this season after splitting games with Coastal Bend College and Lamar State College - Port Arthur on Friday. MC defeated CBC 6-0, the took an extra-inning loss to LSC-PA 10-7 in the eighth inning. Saturday the Lady Chaps played Alvin Community College and had a rematch with Lamar State College. Midland College suffered two narrow defeats by scores of 5-4 in eight innings followed by a 4-2 loss at the hands of Alvin CC.
Midland College moves on to take on Ranger College at Ranger, TX in a 1:00 p.m. twinbill. Ranger College is 0-2 this season after double-header losses to Trinity Valley Community College; 9-0 and 13-0. Both losses by Ranger College were of the 5th inning run-rule variety.
