4-0 MC Softball Hosts Luna CC in a Friday Afternoon Twinbill at Lady Chaps Field

The Midland College softball team took four games against Coastal Bend College in the 2026 season opening games.

Midland College freshman, Alexys Cornejo (Andrews, TX) had a monster weekend in the Coastal Bend College series, going 6-10 with three homers, seven RBI and two walks over four games.

Luna Community College Rough Riders vs. Midland College Lady Chaps

The Midland College softball team is scheduled to take on Luna Community College in a Friday double-header at Lady Chaps Field on the Midland College campus.  The LCC Rough Riders come into the double-header with a 1-5 record while Midland College sits at 4-0.  

The Lady Chaps' offense was on full display versus CBC, hitting .398 as a team led by Alexys Cornejo's 6-10 weekend, including three homeruns and seven RBI.  Teammates Adeline Noriega, Emma Davis and Jozanna Montes each hit .450 or higher over the weekend.  MC was solid in the circle with sophomore Anays Perez leading the way by picking up two wins.
