MIDLAND, TEXAS - The No. 16-ranked Midland College women's basketball team knocked off No. 3 South Plains College from the unbeaten ranks in Western Junior College Athletic Conference play Thursday with an impressive 70-62 win at Chaparral Center.
Leading 38-32 at halftime, the second-place Lady Chaps (4-1, 4-1) created a sizable cushion by going on a 19-5 run in the third quarter, extending their lead to 57-37.
