The Midland College women’s basketball team improved to 2-0 with an 82-44 win over Monroe College (N.Y.) during the Lady Wrangler Invitational at the OC Sports Center.

ODESSA, TEXAS -The Midland College women's basketball team improved to 2-0 with an 82-44 win over Monroe College (N.Y.) during the Lady Wrangler Invitational at the OC Sports Center.
Four Lady Chaps scored in double figures, as Nikki Sainsbury led with 17, Makayla Escue provided 16, Bella Green had 14 and Kim Schrama chipped in with 11.
Midland College's Dana Thompson just missed a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.
The Lady Chaps led Monroe 24-14 after one quarter and went on a 20-5 second quarter run to take a 44-19 halftime lead.
Midland College faces Pratt Community College at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hobbs, New Mexico.
