The Midland College women’s basketball team started the season on Thursday with a 66-58 victory over Salt Lake Community College during the Lady Wrangler Invitational at the OC Sports Center.

ODESSA, TEXAS -The Midland College women's basketball team started the season on Thursday with a 66-58 victory over Salt Lake Community College during the Lady Wrangler Invitational at the OC Sports Center.
MC (1-0) only led 34-33 at halftime before outscoring the Bruins 21-13 in the third quarter to get some separation.
Three Lady Chaparrals were in double figures, led by sophomore Bella Green with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Dana Thompson added 13 points and Teanna Huggins had 10 points.
The Lady Chaps next play Monroe College at 10 a.m. Friday at the OC Sports Center.
