MESA, ARIZONA - The Midland College women's basketball team used a 17-7 run in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 63-47 victory over Mesa Community College on Wednesday.
Four Lady Chaparrals scored in double figures, led by Marin Lenz and Makayla Escue with 18 points each. Dana Thompson added 10 points and 13 rebounds, while Brooke Galvin chipped in with 11 for MC (9-3).
The two teams will play again at 3 p.m. Thursday.
