MESA, ARIZONA - The Midland College women's basketball team suffered a 77-38 loss to Mesa Community College on Thursday.
Midland had beaten Mesa 63-47 on Wednesday, but the Lady Chaparrals shot just 26% and turned the ball over 26 times in Thursday's game.
Mesa (8-5) jumped out to a 20-7 lead after the first quarter and led 36-21 at halftime. MC was also outscored 21-5 in the fourth quarter.
Marin Lenz led the Lady Chaps (9-4) with 13 points, while Kim Schrama and Dana Thompson each had eight.
Jayla Johnson led Mesa with a game-high 24 points.
