GILBERT, ARIZONA - The Midland College women's basketball team finished off its Arizona road trip over the weekend with a 79-77 victory at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
MC went 2-1 on the road trip.
The Lady Chaparrals (10-4) led 46-38 at the half before a 25-10 run by Chandler-Gilbert gave the Coyotes a 63-56 advantage after three quarters. MC, however, closed the game strong for the close victory.
Marin Lenz led the Lady Chaps with 22 points, Dana Thompson had 21 points and eight rebounds, Bella Green had 18 points and Makayla Escue added 13.
MC next resumes Western Junior College Athletic Conference play at 5:45 p.m. Thursday with a home game against New Mexico Junior College.
