BASKETBALL: Lady Chaps fall to 0-3 on season
The Midland College women’s basketball team remained winless on the young season after a 75-68 loss to Panola College and a 95-58 loss to Blinn Colege during the JBC Classic in Jacksonville, Texas, over the weekend.

JACKSONVILLE, TEXAS - The Midland College women's basketball team remained winless on the young season after a 75-68 loss to Panola College and a 95-58 loss to Blinn Colege during the JBC Classic in Jacksonville, Texas, over the weekend.
Against Panola, Desiree Smith and Safena Williams led MC with 13 points each, Taja Stephens added 10, and Tinu Fakunle chipped in with nine.
The Lady Chaparrals led 31-29 at the half. MC shot 39.4% from the floor and turned the ball over 18 times.
No other information was available from the game against Blinn.
The Lady Chaps return home at 7 p.m. Thursday to play Ranger College in the Midland Tip-Off Classic at Chaparral Center.
