BASKETBALL: Lady Chaps fall to #1 Trinity Valley

MIDLAND, TEXAS - No. 1-ranked Trinity Valley Community College rolled past Midland College with an 85-43 win during the Lady Chaps' first game of their Women's National Invitation Tournament, Friday at Chaparral Center.

Trinity Valley CC (6-0) shot 47.9% from the field compared to 20.8% by the Lady Chaps (1-6).

MC's Desiree Smith just missed a double-double with team highs of nine points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Chaps committed 32 turnovers compared to only 12 by the Lady Cardinals.

MC faces Collin College in the tournament at 4 p.m. Saturday at Chaparral Center.
