Tonight at the Chaparral Center the Midland College Lady Chaps basketball team hopes to put together another solid performance against South Plains College. The Lady Chaps, 12-8 this season and 3-3 in the WJCAC, expects a highly competitive contest with the Lady Texans. SPC enters the contest with a 10-12 overall record and is also 3-3 in conference.
The Lady Chaps defeated Clarendon College 82-76 on Thursday in front of a solid fanbase on Pack the Chap Center Night. South Plains lost to Odessa College 74-63, also on Thursday.
Midland College is led by Luisa Anderegg's 13 points and nine rebounds per contest. Freshman guard Brianna Vargas is scoring 8.6 points per game this season.
If MC can keep their turnovers to a manageable level, fans can expect another strong performance as both teams finish the first half of conference play.
The Chaparrals and Texans are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. Tickets are $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per student and seniors (age 65 and older). Midland College students and employees are admitted for free.
