The Midland College Lady Chaps basketball team played their best game in a month and in the process kept their slim postseason chances alive. MC, 13-13 this season and 4-8 in conference, ended a winless streak with an overwhelming 87-69 win over the Lady Westerners.
Last night's game was the final home appearance for four members of the team. Myleah Young, Savana Goodson, Luisa Anderegg and Franka Kraus make up the sophomore class. The four sophs were recognized in a ceremony immediately following the game.
MC was paced by Anderegg's 22 points and nine rebounds followed by freshman Etoyah Montgomery's 17 points and seven rebound performance.
While this was the final home game of the season, the Lady Chaps' season is not over with two remaining regular season games. Monday Midland College will travel to Clarendon for a game with the Lady Bulldogs and again on Thursday to face the South Plains College Lady Texans. Last night's win keeps Midland College's postseason chances alive.
Go Lady Chaps!
