The Midland College Lady Chaps make their return to competition when they host the Tip-Off Classic at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center in Midland.  Midland College enters the week with a record of 3-0 after winning three games at the OC Wrangler Classic in Odessa; last week.  Midland College defeated #17 Arizona Western College, a stubborn Southwest Christian College team and the University of the Southwest JV to start the 2025-2026 season.  

Joining the Lady Chaps will be Arizona Western College (2-2), Central Arizona College (0-2), Lamar Community College (1-3) and Ranger College (0-1) for four nights of outstanding women's college basketball action.  

MC will open the event in a Wednesday night game versus Central Arizona College @ 6:00 p.m.  

Midland College currently has four team members who are scoring in double-figures thus far into the season.  Claudia Chessari leads the Lady Chaps at 12.3 ppg followed by Diana Szakolczi at 11.7 and Sarah Gregory with a 10.3 points per game average.  Summer Haith scores at a 13.0 points per game clip in one appearance.  Sumaiya Ibrahim and Aniyah Mayberry average 8.0 and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Lady Chaps after three games.
