Weatherford College Coyotes vs. Midland College Lady Chaps

The Midland College women's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, December 3rd when they take on Weatherford College in a 6:00 p.m. match-up at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center.  MC is currently 7-3 this season after posting a 2-1 record in last week's Women's National Invitational Tournament.  In the WNIT, the Lady Chaps defeated Snow College (UT) and Arizona Western College, while taking a loss versus nationally ranked Salt Lake Community College.  

Weatherford College is currently 6-2 this season, not including a Monday night game versus Nelson University.  The Coyotes average 82.4 points, 43.6 rebounds, 19.3 assists and 11.4 steals per game while recording 20.6 turnovers per contest.  Comparatively, MC averages 71.0 points, 47.8 rebounds, 15.8 assists.  The Lady Chaps are shooting 36.7% from the floor and 27.5% from the three-point stripe.  Defensively Midland College is holding their opponents to 59.6 points per game while Weatherford College's opponents average 70.4 points per contest.  

Albane Beyaert leads WC with 14.6 ppg and 8.1 rebounds.  The Coyotes also receive outstanding play from the likes of Neso Anisiobi, Maiya Wesley and Lauren Ebara who contribute 12.8, 11.9 and 10.3 points per game each this year.  The Lady Chaps are led by Diana Szakolczi who is scoring at a 14.4 point per game clip this season.  Szakolczi is followed by Sarah Gregory who scores 9.4 points per game along with 3.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game.  Claudia Chessari contributes 8.4 points and 2.7 assists per game through 10 games.
