Midland College Hosts Western Texas College on Lady Chaps Basketball Sophomore Day

The Midland College Lady Chaps basketball team will host their final home game of the 2026 WJCAC season when they host Western Texas College at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center. Midland College dropped to 14-13 on the season and 3-9 in conference with two games left to play in the regular season schedule.
The Lady Chaps suffered a tough, 12-point loss to #12 New Mexico Junior College on Monday night in Midland. The loss snapped MC's two-game conference win streak which effectively ended the Lady Chaps' post-season aspirations.
In Monday's game the Lady Chaps will look to avenge their January 29th loss at the hands of WTC, in Snyder. Monday is also Lady Chaps Basketball Sophomore Night with the departing sophomore being honored, immediately following their game against WTC. Midland College sophomores Latisha Wilson, Sumayia Ibrahim and Diana Szakolczi will make their final home appearance as members of the Lady Chaps basketball team.
