The Midland College volleyball team will need to do its part, a get a little help, as they work to keep their slim post-season aspirations alive.  The Lady Chaps are currently 5-8 in conference, tied for the final playoff spot with Amarillo College, Clarendon College and New Mexico Junior College.  Midland College hosts Clarendon College in Saturday's 2:00 p.m. home finale.  

In order to extend the season, MC would need to defeat CC and both Amarillo College and New Mexico Junior College would each need to lose their final matches in the regular season.

Midland College suffered a loss on Wednesday at Roswell, NM versus New Mexico Military Institute.  In the NMMI match the Lady Chaps were led by Ipek Kusoglu and Luisina Sandrone who recorded 10 and nine kills respectively.  Sandrone also recorded nine digs in the match.  Midland College freshman setter Mia Bell chipped in with 21 assists, 12 digs and three kills.  Defensively, MC's Ksenija Sokic posted 15 digs to lead the team in that category.

Saturday's match is the final home appearance for eight members of the MC volleyball team.  Sokic, Eduarda Silva, Hailey Reyes, Martina Frangella, Jordan Eager, Kusoglu, Noa Reculard and Sandrone.  

We will honor the graduating sophomores in a brief ceremony following Saturday's match.
